Jul 05 | Al Gore in Australia?Eloise | Comments 4It’s true. Al Gore is visiting Melbourne, Australia next week on Monday, the 13th of July. The purpose of his visit is to speak to 1,000 invited guests of “business, engineering, opinion and political leaders it believes can help it produce a clean-energy transition plan to rapidly decarbonise the Australian economy.” Source. He has reportedly been approached by Professor Bob Carter whilst on his Australian visit. As of yet, no reply has been received, therefore an educational protest will occur outside where Al Gore is to speak. Please consider being there if you can. Al Gore’s breakfast begins at 7am at Docklands Peninsula. Those attending will meet at southern cross station at 6.15 am. I won’t be attending, since I live in a completely different state. I wonder how Al will be getting to Australia? By a private jet perhaps? Eloise JS // July 23, 2009 2:06 pmKeep up your efforts, Eloise. I hope you’re making some progress among others in your age group. I was at the educational protest at Docklands. Of course, Al Gore didn’t think it was worthwhile or necessary to speak with anyone that has a different view on the matter. That includes Professor Carter and Senator Fielding. One wonders why he is afraid of debate? And if CO2 is such a problem, why couldn’t he make his presentation by video link? Combine that with the massive amount of money he has made off this campaign, and something stinks. Apurva 14 // December 15, 2009 6:03 pmI think this website is very good. Yeh, Why should he come to Australia and maximise his carbon footprint? Quoting the words of the previous person. Apurva 14 // December 15, 2009 6:04 pmANd I THINK AL GORE IS AFRAID OF DEBATE!!!:d to him Apurva 14 // December 15, 2009 6:04 pmI was at the protest in Docklands too Leave a comment |
